Third Spanish edition, of great rarity, of Petrarch’s “Remedies for Fortune Fair and Foul”, a collection of brief dialogues, written in prose, between allegorical characters: “Joy”, “Reason” and “Pain. ” A self-help and moral book to reinforce men against the strokes of fortune, both good and adverse.

It is the second edition printed in Seville, rarer than the first, according to Escudero.

The fine cut of the arms of Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba, el Gran Capitán, to whom the translation is dedicated, is printed within a woodcut border of birds, foliage and emblematic figures.
